The name Web 2.0 is a name that describes the second generation of the World Wide Web which is then the focus of people to share information about anything online. When talking about Web 2.0 it is referring to the transition from HTML pages to Web applications to users which is a more dynamic Web. Improved functionalities of Web 2.0 includes open communication with Web-Based communities of users and the sharing of information. Over the course of time Web 2.0 has been used more as a marketing term. This is rather than a computer-science based term. Such as Blogs, Wiki and Web Services, these three components are all seen as Web 2.0.
